A year to remember!!!
On a somewhat nippy morning, on January 21st I found myself once again waking up late and realizing if i didn't get up i wasn't going to see history in the making. Going down stairs, grabbing a box of tissue and a cobija, i turn on the TV to see Dick Cheney in a wheelchair somber and angry. And that January morning, a man darker than me and with a weirder name than me became the 43rd president of the United States of America. All I could do was to cry and grab on to my cobija and try to once again conceptualize what my "virgin" eyes had just seen.
Eleven months have passed since that awe inspiring event and we find ourselves glued to the TV with another man that has defied the odds, only this time this man is being bitch slapped by his Swedish wife for being "a little" unfaithful. Some how i felt that on the brink of the new year nothing news worthy would make me get out of youtube and write about and yes i could write about a whole lot more shit but I'm to lazy and hungry to write about anything else that's remotely interesting to me and you.
This year was a little disappointing because it was not the year for disgraced republican heavy weights wanting their dick sucked in the bathroom or a homophobic evangelical minister snorting coke from a male prostitutes ass. Maybe next year, i do pray on the great Perez that he will give me just a little bit of news worthy happiness in 2010. A man can only dream.

Dear Mr. President
Lately it seems as i have lost hope in all things politics and especially all things Obama. Today as i sat on another bus ride, cause my dumb ass wont learn to drive stick, i was talking to a friend of mine and was letting him know that while I love the uncertainty of politics I'm frustrated about the slow development of Mr. Obama's lack of progress.
Last week we saw him telling the American people that he would send another 70K men and women to fight in Afghanistan. He then gathered all democratic senators to a meeting were he talked about health care and never mentioned the public option. Then talked about a month or two ago about making life a better place for our LGBT brothers and sisters, yet hasn't done anything to get rid of 'don't ask, don't tell' or fight DOMA or even said the big scary word: MARARIGE.
Before i began on my rant, i was never for the war, would like the richest country in the world to have universal health care, and in favor of full equality for all people in this case, regardless of there sexual orientation. But since we don't live in a perfect world, the war is our everyday frustration, especially for those that have family and friends fighting abroad. I had to pay over 200 bucks to get new eyeglasses. And the people that i love dearly cant marry like Larry king cant stay away from an alamony payment.
So this is the world we live in, and i'd like to ask these question to president obama: Why in the richest country in the world can't you provide universal health care for all? Why is it so hard to end a war that should never occured in the first place? Will this county's secon class citizens ever not feel like second class citizens?
Do I seem like an idealistic idiot or can someone give this atheist an AMEN. Lets hope in a year I can eat my words. And if some one has a wine selection let me know as well.
